Repair request procedure
This is the basic procedure. Please feel free to contact us for a free estimate. It takes about 3 to 5 months for delivery. Please apply from the inquiry form.
*If you do not receive a reply from us for more than 5 days, it may be blocked by spam mail. Sorry to trouble you, but please cancel the domain or write other contact information such as phone number and send it again.
- ① Address ② Desired contact method (email, phone, LINE, etc.) ③ Material and purpose of repair item ④ Size, size of chip, damage condition of crack, ⑤ Desired repair method, etc. If you have any, please attach a photo and send it from the inquiry form. If you can leave the repair method to us, please indicate. ③Example: Bizen tea bowls, porcelain mugs, decorative plates, etc. ④ Example: A platter with a diameter of 20 cm, split in two, and there is a missing part of about 3 cm square.
- We will inform you of the repair method, repair cost and provisional estimate of delivery date (requires 2-3 days) → You may cancel at this point.
- After confirming it, please send the broken product by courier (shipping fee will be paid by the client)
- After receiving it, we will check the repaired parts and issue a formal estimate (requires 4-7 days) → If you cancel here, it will be returned to you by cash on delivery.
- We will mutually confirm the contents and cost and start the repair.
- We will send you a photo after completion, please transfer the repair and shipping fee after confirming it.
- We will ship after payment is confirmed
- If there is any problem before use, please contact us within 2 weeks. We will propose a solution such as re-treatment.
Estimated repair cost
This is the cost as a guideline. Please feel free to contact us for any questions or complicated repairs. Gold powder finish, polished finish, etc. will incur an additional charge. You can also choose silver, tin, colored lacquer, etc. Please refer to examples of past repairs.

- The above amounts are for tin powder and colored lacquer (red, black, beige) finish. Gold powder +yen1,000 , Silver powder + yen 500 Platinum powder, silver polish +yen1,000, Gold polish + yen2,000 etc. Gold, silver, platinum, polished finishes require an additional charge.
- For other repairs such as complicated cracks and handle parts that require reinforcement, large cracks over 15 cm will require additional charges, so please contact us separately.
- We are currently not accepting repairs for glass, lacquerware, or woodenware.
Precautions for handling vessels repaired by Kintsugi
- Cannot be used in microwave, oven, dishwasher.
- Avoid soaking for a long time and wash with a soft sponge.
- Avoid direct sunlight and open fire.
